Turtle Mountain Chippewa Native Lands

 

Chippewa (or Ojibwa) of the Turtle Mountain Band originated from the woodlands of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and areas of Canada. They were good trappers who participated in the fur trade with Europeans and fishers traveling the rivers and lakes in birch-bark canoes.
